Think this has been covered a little in the Yahoo groups...
Want to stop the phone ringer from sounding. Could remove the ringer as a last resort.
The "stop ringer" command when does this get actioned? I have tried putting it in a reponse that is actioned as soon as the DS is triggered but it does not behave as expected.

| You would need to assign it to a zone response, e.g. when motion is detected or the front door is opened then it will stop the ringing. Last edited on Tuesday Oct 31st, 2006 05:31 am by adlim

Perhaps you could expalin how it works. I have it in a response attached to the hall PIR and the door contact and it works.
But I have addeded it to the doorbeel response in the hope that the ringer would not even sound or at least get cancelled automatically

Is there a way to stop phone related functions asscociated with the doorphone press?
Removing the ringer stops the phone ringing but Comfort still picks up the line, clicks the relays etc. While it is doing this reminders are prevented from playing. The stop ringer cancels this but it is not clear when it will work.

Stop Ringer does not work in the Doorbell Response because at that point the ringer has not started yet
It is not possible to prevent it from ringing at least a littel
You can use a Timer action to stop the ringer using thr Doorbell Response after a second or so, that will probably work

Stop ringer after 1 second worked out perfectly. No ring at all
Great thanks.
May be a feature to add on future revisons. Be able to set a flag to enable or disable the ringer function.
