I am in the early stages of planning our system and I am starting with Front Door Access. I have been looking at the farfisa PL11P and a 12v Rim Lock Release all of which I have a good grasp of.

The complication is that I need to be able to open the door, whilst in 'Day Mode', from the outside without a key, keypad or anything else for that matter, I had thought of an IR beam BUT the door needs to be latched shut due to the wind and we don't have a handle with a latch (ie the only latch is the rim lock), security during the day is not an issue.

In 'Night Mode' I want the IR beam deactivated so that the front door can't be opened without a key from the outside but can be opened using the phones.

Finally in 'Away mode' (or any of the other modes for that matter) if someone arrives and needs to leave a parcel then we can remotely open a completely different lock (on a large secure box) to allow them access to that.

Any thoughts on how to achieve this would be very helpful.

Thanks
:)

If I understand correctly, in the day, ie not armed or armed to Day mode, you want the activation of the IT beam to unlock or open  the lock.  when the door is detected open, the lock activates closed

In Night Mode, the IR beam will not open the lock

In Away, the IR beam does not open the lock, and opening the door even by the key will cause an alarm

If that is accurate then comfort can handle it

That's spot on. Excellent, is it also possible to open a different door remotely?

Thanks.

Yes you can open any door that is connected in the correct way to Comfort

Once it is controllable by Comfort you can control it on one of the ios or android apps
