Hi,

I am trying to set comfort up to announce a spoken phrase on receipt of an x10 command. For example

Receive A12 ON command and announce "water heating on"

I did the obvious, set up a response to announce "water heating on" on keypad and then set up this reponse to activate based on x10 A12 On, but it does not seem to be working.

I know x10 received codes are working as I have an autoarm command based on x10 receive a3on and this works.

Regards,

Eamon

What is your Comfort firmware version?
Are you trying to use the "Announce Words" action? If so, this may not work for earlier Comfort versions.

Main boards says 4.8.9 and UCM is 4.107. Are these the firmware versions ?

Sorry, I installed it almost 5 years ago, and have just started playing around with some of the more advanced features, so a bit rusty.

The mainboard must be 4.223 or above for the "announce words" to work. Hence, that would probably explain the problem.

Cheers, that explains it.

What is the process/cost of upgrading ?

Eamon
