Hi,

I had an idea that it would be useful to have a small cheap eBay remote control that I could use to trigger/set various states or flags in Comfort without having to use the Control menu. I have a KP04 keypad with built-in IR receiver and I wanted to be able to point the remote at that.

I've been through forums and documents and I think I've concluded that even if Comfort was to 'learn' the IR codes from the keys on my remote it is not possible for Comfort keypads to receive them, it can only Output the learned codes.

Is that definitely correct, or am I missing something?

Thanks.

Correct
Comfort can learn IR codes to send out (via IR transmitters) to control other equipment

The learned IR codes cannot be used on the Keypad IR receiver.
The KP IR receiver can only understand the Comfort IR codes that are produced by the RC01 (which is quite low cost)

If you have a learning remote controller you can learn the IR codes from the RC01 to send to the KP
