I have always some programming in Comfort where I use action 31 to react to the on/off (255/0) value of Counters.

Today, I have added some programming where I need to check the value of a Counter at some time other than when it has just changed.  To do this, I am using action 81 (all programming is via Comfigurator).

In C-Bus Toolkit, I can see that Lighting Group 102 (66H) is on.  However the value of Counter 102 in Comfort is zero rather than 255.  I realised that the group (it's actually a light sensor) has been on all day - and I have changed the programming during the day.  A sudden brainwave suggested that I needed to press SW1 on the C-Bus UCM, forcing it to do a reset and update all the Counter values.  I was then going to proudly contribute some useful information to the forum.

Unfortunately, it didn't seem to work!  The counter has stubbornly stuck on zero.

Looking at the Counter values (using the Monitor check box on the home control page in Comfigurator, and/or Telnet doing C?66 type stuff, all the counters seem to be zero).

I am now not sure whether I am seeing the true values of the counter and/or whether they are truly reflecting the C-Bus group values.

When the UCm/Cbus resets it should get the status of all lighting group addresses
Is it only that group address 102 which was not updated?
Can you check with your toolkit that the group address ws updated when the reset is pressed?

I need to check what happened on the reset (and yes, the values are all look ok in C-Bus Toolkit).

In the meantime, some good news.  This morning, now that everything has gone through a full cycle, I can Telnet into Comfort and see that some of the counters do now have 255 in them rather than all being zero.

So, I now know that it is definitely to do with the counters not being updated to correspond with C-Bus when the UCM is reset.  I'll look into that later.
