Hi Chiu,

an integrator in Brisbane has noticed that the Zone open/close information on C-Bus application 01,  was no longer being sent out from the UCM/CBUS.

Can you please confirm my recollection about the implementation of this feature. If the UCM/CBUS does not receive an acknowledgement of the sent zone open/close event, the UCM/CBUS interface stops sending this information, until it is reset.  This is to prevent the interface repeating the command several times and causing a delay or even missing other CBUS commands.

Devices on the CBUS network that send the ACK command ( Acknowledgement of  the sent zone open/close event) include the C-BUS PCI interface and the Cbus touch screen.

Can this expain why the zone open/close events will stop.  For example if these devices were present, them removed ( or powered down) , the zone open close events would stop being sent.  Now reconnect a C-BUS PCI to monitor the traffic and it could be seen that the zone open close events are no longer being sent.  Reset the UCM/CBUS and the zone open close events start again.

Is the above a correct explaination of what is happening.

regards  Ian
