Hi Guys,
Sorry for posting this, I tried to find out the information, but there is so much that I am now confused.
I want to try and upgrade the firmware on my system to use Comfigurator 3 as well as the iPhone app. My current details are:
Comfort firmware type = week
Comfort firmware version = 5.075
File system = 34
UCM type = 10
UCM Version = 5.156
I have 3 x UCMs connected (cbus & rs232) and I am going to connect the Ethernet one which is version 5.228
I know I need to start by upgrading the Comfort II firmware, but am unsure of how I achieve this could you please advise ?
Thanks In Advance.

The Comfort firmware 5.079 is the non-flashable type which cannot be upgraded by Comfigurator. You need to buy a MPU01-ULT, see http://www.cytech.biz/comfort_ii_ult_microcontroller_plug-in_firmware_upgrade.html
This is a Flash CPU with the latest firmware which plugs onto the Comfort PCB. It allows its own firmware to be upgraded in future using a UCM and Comfigurator, see Upgrading the MPU firmware using the UCM
From what you are saying you have a UCM/232 and a UCM/Ethernet
You can use the UCM with firmware 5.228 to upgrade the other UCM firmware to the latest which is currently 6.007, see http://www.comfortforums.com/forum81/2381.html You will need the UCM programming cable for this (inlcuded with the UCM)
Then use the upgraded UCM to upgrade the UCM that you were using for upgrading so both UCMs have the latest firmware 6.007. This new firmware allows the UCM to upgrade its own firmware without neeeding the programming cable
The new MPU01 firmware for Comfort and the upgraded UCM/Ethernet will allow you to use the iPhone app

Hi Ident,
Thanks so much for the firmware information,I finally got around to installing the MPU01-ULT and upgrading all of the firmware as instructed. The only item I have left to upgrade is the cbus ucm. Unfortunately my CBUS ucm is the old square chip type with cbus 5.27 on it, which I am led to believe can not be upgraded. Is this the case ? If so what is the replacement item number ?
Regards

The replacement item is still called the UCM/CBus, but it will be the new type which can have its firmware upgraded, which is a very good thing
