I have a similar query.

My ETH02 is currently:

Version: <EM500W-3.29.01>
Comment: cytech_nowifi_3_10

I've just used Device Explorer to look at upgrading my ETH02 and I get a warning

"The firmware you have chosen might not be compatible with the selected device(s). Do you still want to proceed?".

The file I'm using is "cytech3_13.bin". From here: http://www.cytech.biz/eth02_firmware.html
Is that the correct one?

Also I'm running the latest version of Comfigurator and can see that Device Manager is runable from within the app. I have seen some comment that Device Explorer must be used to upgrade rather than Device Manager, but Device Manager does seem to have an upgrade option too.

In DS Manager make sure you select the 2nd device, not the blue barrel as shown below

In the above screen, we have 2 UCM/Eth02 shown, each is listed with its MAC address , on top with a blue barrel, below with an Axe symbol. Select the Axe symbol, not the blue barrel and choose Load Firmware Through the Network

Choosing the Blue barrel will lead to the message that "the firmware is not suitable for this application"

DS Manager is not able to upgrade the firmware for the ETH02, only DS Explorer can be used

Hi, I have just upgraded my UCM/ETH02 firmware to EM500W3.31.10 but now cannot connect to comfort. Is this the wrong firmware as it seems to be the only 1 that is available. My unit is not the same as the picture for the FW-EM500 so where do I get the firmware for the UCM/ETH02. Thanks as always for you help.

after the upgrade, run DS Manager and check what is the IP address and port, and net mask
press the Initialise button and try to connect again

By the way it is not necessary to post the same question in multiple places, we get notified of any post

Sounds like you are making progress then. So you can now also see in DS Manager and connect OK?

Yes, can click ion blue barrel and go into settings. Says IP address is 192.168.1.20, gateway is 1.0.0.1, DHCP is disabled and submask is 0.0.0.0

Hi

Your Gateway and Subnet address do not look right to me.

I would have thought you would have

GW Address: 192.168.1.1
Subnet mask: 255.255.255.0

Julian

DS manager now cannot connect when I refresh, says no devices were discovered but I am running a constant ping and the IP is there.

Ran device explorer and rebooted. Went to DS Manager and refreshed, device was listed. Now when I refresh it says Reading SDF from device, no response.

Not sure if this will help, but below are the settings for my ETh02. Perhaps generally compare and see if you have anything different (name/IP etc excepted). Wondering if perhaps baud rate is different etc on yours.

Reading SDF from device is shown briefly when you double click the device or select settings for it
If you still have problems attach a screenshot of DS Manager settings
