I was using comfig 3.8.2 to do some product upgrading prior to installation.
OK with UCM's and KT03 etc.
HOWEVER i wnt to upgrade the main CPU to the latest version - the upgrade was in progress and the laptop went into screen save. When i reserected it a few seconds later the % bar had dissapeared and the LED on UCM and main board had locked on.
The software said CPU was now 7.000
I powered down and now cannot re-connect at all ! solid green LED on main board ( same after reset). KT03 screens all ok but no reaction to anything...
HELP !

OK
I have re-programmed via cable and have result BUT....
- Powering the board up with the 7.000 firmware still caused a click and buzz sound on power up- NO LED's were visible.
After upgrading by cable I left the CPU connected ( still no LED's) and did a scan but the UCM was not recognised. I could NOT scan the main CPU.
I powered the CPU down and re-powered and hey presto green LED and i can now scan etc. All looks OK.
Hope this helps.

After completing the firmware upgrade by cable and removing the cable you just need to reset the systemOtherwise it will not know you have removed the firmware upgrading cable
