HI... just got round to installing a z-wave UCM that shamefully I have had on my "to do" list all year...
Installed the UCM in the panel OK, set the ID, the new unit scans and shows in comfigurator at the correct ID...
couple of things I noticed after the scan that I'm not sure is correct or not:
mainly, comfigurator show serial number as "invalid" - always a word which raises alarm bells in my head..
The scan shows the current firmware version is 7.043, and latest is 7.072, so thought first thing I'd do is upgrade... "check for firmware upgrade" is dimmed out - I guess because it did it already during the module scan, so I did "download firmware upgrade" and have got the firmware file Zwave7_072.cbf.
I try to "upgrade firmware from local file" browse to Zwave7_072.cbf and hit OK, and it *immediately* comes back with the error message: "DUT Operation Error"
FYI, I have not included the module in a zwave network yet... I've literally just unboxed it & installed it into the panel...
Any ideas?
TIA
Paul G.

Off the wall idea but wondering if the jump from 43 to 72 has never been tried before or is known to have issues; there's a 7.061 on the Cytech website so maybe try that as an intermediary upgrade first and then try 72 again?
Also is this a ZWave 2 or 3 daughter card?
I wouldn't worry about the serial number as that is pretty standard occurrence and not really in use at the moment.

Thanks Julian. I'll have a try with an intermediate firmware version tomorrow.
It's a Z-wave 3 model.

"Check for Firmware Upgrades " is grayed out when the Comfort, UCM or UCM/Zwave is not version 7 or the system has not been scanned or the module has a not polled status
If the error happens again DUT operation error copy the Monitor I/OLast edited on Tuesday Dec 22nd, 2015 04:48 pm by slychiu

OK I rescanned the modules again, - got the state to change from not polled to polled, and then the firmware upgrade has worked, so now it's running 7.072
However, something odd is now happening with updates in general, and I'm not sure if it's my end or a problem with the Cytech servers...
*ANY* attempt to check for firmware upgrade - on *any* installed module, throws up the error: "Unable to obtain update information"
The same error also occurs if I select to download firmware upgrade too...
Is this a problem connecting back to the servers at Cytech?
TIA

I see your original problem.
The ucm/zwave was not polled so the "Check for Upgrades" button is grayed out. You downloaded the latest firmware using "Download Firmware Upgrade" and then tried to upgrade from local file. This does not work because the ucm/zwave is not polled
After doing a scan for modules, write to Comfort or write Modules & Settings to comfort. This will allow Comfort to poll the UCM/Zwave. Then you can upgrade the firmware
Your current problem is because you cannot connect to the server. It may be a temporary problem on your network or our serverIf you can reach our server http://www.cytech.biz/ you should be able to cnnect and get the upgrade info. Try again. I had no problem just now

Actually it also happens if you try to check for a Comfigurator update too from the menu: Help, Check for updates...
Because of that error, I thought I'd check the Cytech site manually and I saw a new Comfigurator update was posted *today*, so I have downloaded & installed 3.10.11 (previously I was on 3.10.6)
I still get the same error in Comfigurator when trying to check for any updates...
Looks like there's something going on with the internet connectivity... funnily enough, I am also unable to connect to TomTom MyDrive Connect at the moment too....

I suspect it's a problem with the Version Info xml file on the Cytech site as seems blank and usual has the modules and latest versions in it.
