New member Herold reported this problem in a different area
"Hi.
Module UCM PC01-066A with plugin Tibbo PC01-045B
I have got a Ethernet module which I have not used in over two years. I cant remember the IP, Tried all IP ranges I might have used since 2009 and even the 10.0.0.*.
I have upgraded my laptop since then to Windows 7 X64. I downloaded DS 5.9.10.
With no Success.
My Device reacts as follow
My D101 Red LED stays Off
D102 Green LED stays on most of the time, flash off and back on randomly.
D103 Green LED Flash twice every 2 sec about. ( This should indicate that unit was unable to establish a true network connection, and is in idle mode )
D104 Red LED stays Off.
Pressing SW101
D103 and D103 LED Start flash . ( I believe this puts module in Serial ) ?
If so, Can i use a serial cable plugged into the RJ45?
Pressing SW1
Reset Main Panel, No changes when scanning
I have used and tested Straight as well as X Cables. X over between PC and Module and Straight between Module and switch.
Switch is set up for DHCP, would have expected a result if module doesn't have static IP.
I was not sure if any of my Controllers PC01-051B might be to blame, Supplied 12 volts only to Ethernet module.
I have tried multiple different software programs in detecting the device, ex The Dude. with no luck.
I need to get my device to react differently on D103. Any other suggestions.?

Have you tried checking the IP address with Device Explorer (not Manager) from the Tibbo website? I had problems with seeng the IP address.
Also it might be worth resetting the Eth module (not sure if you have Eth1 or 2?). If UCM/Eth2 then hold down SW101 for 7 secs on power up, with the Cat5 cable plugged in. Check to see if you then get the Link light (D101)
If not then Slychiu will be able to assist

You have a UCM/ETH01 ie Comfort 2 UCM with the older ethernet module (orange cube)
You cannot use DS Explorer with this module, it only works with ETH02 which is firmware programmable, ETH01 is fixed frmware
Comfort 2 (which you have), supplies 12V to the UCM which is correct
Try disabling any firewalls as that may prevent DS Manager from discovering the UCM/ETH01
The serial mode may not help you as you do not have the tools. Basically DS Manager should be able to discover all ETH modules on the same physical network.
Also try the ETH connecting direct to your PC and see if DS Manager can find it
If these do not work your other option is to buy a ETH02 submodule to replace the ETH01
