I have just received my MPU01 to upgrade my Comfort II with 5.075 firmware. I have read the installation instructions and various topics on here, like this one:
http://www.comfortforums.com/view_topic.php?id=303&forum_id=16&highlight=mpu01 (which is now closed)

The installation procedure looks OK, but I have a two questions:
1) How do I disconnect the battery?
2) Where is J14?
I have found that "J14 jumper is next to the LED's D1 and D2" but is there a circuit board layout somewhere I can check this?
(the only board layout I can find is in this topic: http://www.comfortforums.com/view_topic.php?id=1216&forum_id=4 but no sign of J14)

I have attached a pic of my main board and the "underneath" view...

Thanks

1) One way to disconnect the battery is by unplugging the battery cable (black and red cable) connected to the control panel. This is located at bottom left corner of the board with the label BATT on the PCB.
Take note of the polarity (positive & negative) when you plug it back.

2) You are right. The J14 jumper is just next to the green D2 LED.

Thanks,
This seems to have worked.
My Comfort is back up and running and showing version 6.011

I would now like to upgrade it to 7.027, but don't see the option to upgrade direct over the Bus.

(I have an ETH02 connected running the latest 3.13

I thought versions 6 and up would allow this?
(as per http://www.comfortforums.com/forum92/2409.html)

Is there something I need to do to enable this option?

When I run the "System Information" it brings up the dialog in the attached picture. It also seems to add another Keypad (in red) every time... why is this?

Hold the phone, I right-clicked the Controller and chose "Upgrade to 7.xx" and it's working...

I also had trouble finding J14 until I discovered this thread. Perhaps the above drawing in Hendy's reply could be included in the MPU01 manual or the Comfort II Installation Manual or both.

I can see the grey triangle in the corner of the MPU01 but as far as I can see there is no matching triangle on my Comfort II board. Which way round does it go? Perhaps it could be marked on the same diagram.

Oh yes thank you - so the marked corner goes opposite the green LED and J14?

Ingos photo is correct
Make sure the board is plugged in securely and no pins are bent
Remember to switch off power and remove the battery while doing so
