Hi,

I have an internal sounder to wire in. Can I please just confirm the connections before I commence.

The connections is has are-

R- Negative siren trigger. Apply 0V to activate sounder
M- Negative low volume siren trigger. (keypad) 0v to activate
ST- Negative strobe trigger. Apply 0v to activate strobe
H+ Permanent positive hold off supply, 12vdc nominal
H- permanent negative hold off supply
RTN Negative tamper return

Would I be correct with.

R- This would go to the output connection
ST- Rather than use the comfort strobe connection (as this is already used with an external sounder) could I jumper across to R- so both the sounder and strobe activate together?
H+ just to the comfort 12v supply (not the 12v on the output)
H- to comfort negative.

Is this OK or would I better connecting it straight to bell and strobe outputs.

Also the instructions state I need to pass through a ferrite sleeve before connecting. Is this needed with comfort?

Thanks.

From what I see, this internal siren is for the same purpose as an external siren exceot that it is not suitable for outdoors, so the connections should be the same as an external sirem
ie your connections are correct  except that R- should go to SRN- (siren negative trigger output)
Strobe can go to STR- The strobe output remains on after the alarm times out if the system is not disarmed so it provides visual confirmation that an alarm has occured even when the siren has timed out
Not sure if I understand the correct purpose of this internal siren. It will be loud

Hi Slychiu,

So my standard siren output will cope with the external and this internal connections at the same time?

The internal sounder should make it uncomfortable for any intruder.

Thanks.

Yes with a backup battery. The battery provides extra current if needed, since the Bells are on for 5 minutes by default
