Applies to: KP04 firmware 1.03 with Comfort II

This message on KP04 LCD is displayed when the wordlist in KP04 is different from that in Comfort.
The wordlist can be downloaded from Comfort by pressing * and 1 together

Many people have difficulty interpreting this instruction. It means that you press * and 1 on the keypad together or press * and hold followed by 1 key. The LCD will display a moving black bar to indicate the progress of the download which may take several minutes. When completed, the LCD returns to normal

KP04 firmware < 1.03 does not have the * 1 download facility. The KP04 Language Customisation software (from http://www.cytech-technology.com/software.html) can be used to update the wordlist if needed. This requires UCM firmware 5.72 and above. Alternately, a U9 IC with the correct wordlist can be requested from your Comfort supplier

Also if KP04 is used with Comfort I systems, the *1 download is not possible.
The KP04 Language Customisation software must be used to update the wordlist or  a U9 IC with the correct wordlist can be requested from your Comfort supplier
