One of the most common problems is when the user has forgotten their code(s).

In this situation, press F0 and the user code and # key to go to  Engineer menu, press 9 to go to Program Menu, press 5 for Users, 0 to erase all users, then 1 to confirm.

This will delete all user codes and also all mailboxes and messages, including Reminder messages and Greeting message. The user code will revert to the default 1234

Engineer menu can be accessed only when there is no alarm active. If the customer has triggered an alarm and does not know the code, then that is a problem. Resetting Comfort will cause Comfort to arm to the last security mode so if it was armed before the reset it will arm again. To get to engineer menu, one must make sure that the alarm does not activate

if the Engineer code and user codes are not known, then the only solution is a new U4 or to download a known configuration using the UCM with a Master U4 and pressing the DLOAD button. This copies the Master U4 on the UCM to the Comfort.
