It is possible to prevent a keypad from announcing eg while arming and disarming the security system. This may be useful for keypads in childrens rooms which are used for Baby Monitoring, where you dont want the keypad to make noise at other times

Go to Program Menu (ie User Menu Press 9). Press 3 for Security Settings and 1 for Voice Report. The menu will say "Voice Report ON. Press 1 for On, 0 for Off)  which means announcements are enabled. Press 0 for Off to disable Voice announcements.

The keypad will be silent for announcements. However the Function keys and voice menu on that keypad can be heard when accessed as usual.

If you go into this mode, you wil find that pressing the Arm keys on this keypad will not give the "Please Exit" announcements, but other keypads will have the announcement.

Resetting the system will cause announcements on the keypad to go back to normal
