The upgrading methods mentioned in the above post are by using the UCM Programming cable

The new Comfort, Slave and UCM version 6 firmware that aree being released can be upgraded without the UCM Programming cable, either by "Direct Connection to PC" for UCM/232, UCM/USB and UCM/Ethernet, see http://www.comfortforums.com/forum4/2283.html
