Is there a way in a response to program an entry into the event log. What I have is a new outdoor PIR which eventually will turn on an outside light for a few minutes, but want I want to do first is to be sure that it doesn't trigger incorrectly.

I thought what I might be able to do is write a response that logs the activity into the event log, so I can check back daily and see how many times & when it was been triggered. However I can't find a way to do this. Is there such a facility?

Many thanks

I cant think of am action which causes the event to be logged.

However the Zone Type Monitor N/C which is Immediate in all modes but does not cause an Intruder alarm may cause an entry in the event log when triggered.

I have not had the chance to try it, so I cannot be certain

Gazza has an intresting question, which coincidently I'm looking to do.

Writing to the event log would be handy on several levels, fault finding, logging events etc. Another request for the future I guess.

In comfigurator it might appear as Output Action/Write to event log/text value or flags, counters, input state output state etc.

I'll post this request here... http://www.comfortforums.com/forum20/213.html so that it is all logged together.
