I am using VISTA Ultimate 32-bit and while Comfigurator 2.2.0 works fine, WizComfort does  not start.

I tried executing the standalone program of WizComfort but nothing happens either.

Thanks for the help.

I've had similar problems from time-to-time; I'm running version 1.4.6 OK on Vista Ultimate.

I've found that if you've installed Ace Comfort and uninstalled since loading the WizComfort software (really they seem to be the same from my observations) then the latter seems to break. Not surprising I guess if they share DLL's; the trick if you want to uninstall the former without breaking the latter is to not dlete shared DLL's!

I also have the latter working with UAC turned on.  It was enabled when I installed WizComfort but I noticed that WizComfort stopped working when I disabled UAC (during attempts to play with Homeseeer I needed to do this to get Homeseer working on Vista).  Can't explain the logic here but I turned on UAC again (in "User Accounts" in control panel by the way) and WizComfort started working again.

May be useful in your tests too as I spent a few hours trying to understand what was going on here!

Regards

Julian

Thanks for the tip!

Indeed when I turn on the UAC, WizComfort works fine! I use V1.3.0.

However, I prefer to keep UAC off so I hope that a fix or new version will soon be availabe that will work with UAC off.

We've just tried out installing WizComfort on a Vista machine and we encountered the same problem. Somehow we got it to work after creating another user with administrator account, and then deleting the user later with UAC disabled.
