An app with notification may not be guaranteed to get delivered or read, depending on coverage, network issues etc

Notification feature for iPhone or android probably would not be a free feature as it is more complex

Would you be willing to pay for this?

And how much
eg
£10 a year ?
£20 a year ?
£40 a year ?

Hi slychiu,

I would be willing to pay 20 euro per year for it. Your point about the coverage for example being out of coverage would mean it would not report could be overcome by for example have comfort report to a server, and then being able to have a few devices accept push notifications from that server?

That way for example we would have two or more devices (myself and my wife) getting notifications and if we were out of coverage or battery dead we would either get the notification from the server when our phone came back into coverage

Right now you can have alarm notifications by SMS using the uCM/GSM which would have better coverage

Actually, just thinking about this, would the new etc board be able to directly talk to a sonos system for example?

You dont need the new board to talk to other systems
The UCM/Universal with ETH02 interface is able to interface with 3rd party devices that have a known protocol

The normal UCM/ETH02 can be used to talk to systems that can be programmed to comunicate using Comforts protocol

Any replacement module will also be able to do the same as ETH02
