Comfort II's CPU is now based on Flash technology from firmware 5.100
onwards. This means that new firmware can be downloaded by Comfigurator
(Version 2.2.1) via the UCM05, which is the new Flash-based replacement for the UCM01
The new MPU Flash firmware plug in board for Comfort II is shown here. This is installed on the Comfort II to replace the existing firmware and allows its firmware to be upgraded in future.
The new UCM05 is shown here.

The UCM05 is required for downloading new firmware to another Comfort, Slave Expansion Module, UCM/CBUS, UCM/EIB or any other module, including another UCM05. You  need to have another UCM05 to allow the UCM05 firmware itself to be upgraded
However the KP03 and KP04 firmware cannot be upgraded in this way
The UCM05 can be converted to UCM/Ethernet just by plugging in the ETH01
daughterboard, and setting the appropriate shunt. This allows you to
select either a serial RS232 port or Ethernet connection to the PC. The
UCM/Ethernet has also been reduced significantly in price
