Thank for the reply. That was the code I set the system to watch out for, but it's not seeing anything yet. I have posted the question on the relevant HomeSeer forum.
Just in case - is there anything I need to set in Comfort for the data to be transmitted?

Before the UCM will send anything you need to log in using LI followwed by the codeeg LI1234 and <0x0D>
The messages must be preceded by the character 0x03 and end with 0x0DThe comfort serial protocol describes the full protocol

I'm sure that would work, but it adds a step into the equation. I take the view that the fewer the steps the more stable the solution.

The nice thing with MQTT is it opens up everything for you... Home Assistant instead of HS3 as an example if you eve decided to move / upgrade (I used to use HS2 and Home Assistant has a fairly steep learning curve but is far superior).
Plus if you use MQTT then you could start using the new dedicated UCM that is about to launch. With the script as a first step then step 2 replace is with the dedicated UCM.Last edited on Monday Aug 20th, 2018 02:07 am by schford

How long does the login last for? Would I need to login every time I wanted to see the status of the alarm?

For ETH03 the connection disconnects after 2 minutes by default if there is no communications
This can be changed in CS Manager. enter 0 to connect permanently

Thank you. I am in discussion with the author of a Homeseer plugin, Big5, who thinks his plugin will talk to Comfort.

Their plugin is $29 for Black Friday so I'll be interested if this is possible!

Hello Comfort users,
I was noticed by Chiu for this thread existence. I'm currently developing a native homeseer plugin for comfort. I'm currently using in on my HS system and it works perfectly, only need to iron out some small bugs. The plugin supports connecting to comfort trough network, serial and USB, just like comfigurator. The plugin needs the comfigurator configfile (you need to upload it using the plugin) so it knows zones and responses. You can choose which zones and responses need to be available as homeseer devices.
Some screenshots attached.
Regards,
Frans

Actions are available as well as events based on change. I hope to finalize first release before the end of the year.
