Comfort has an RJ11 socket for connection of the Two Way X10 Interface (TW523, TW7223, XM10E/U depending on country). X10 is a power line protocol which has been very polular in the Home Automation Industry (see http://www.geocities.com/ido_bartana/ for a good source of information)
Comfort is able to send commands to X10 devices on the power line and is able to receive X10 commands from the powerline and activate programmed Responses, ie it has a two way communication function. Comfort is compatible with 50 Hz and 60 Hz systems without any modification of setting within Comfort (but the correct type of X10 Interface must be used). The X10 Interface (XM10E, TW523 etc) is NOT supplied with Comfort, and must be purchased separately.
X10 products are low cost compared to other systems (eg EIB, CBUS) but it is more susceptible to interference on the pwoer line and other problems. Be warned.
This forum is for the discussion, feedback and support for X10 interface related to Comfort
