Has anyone tested the remote access to Sydekick?
In the application notes for Sydekick available trough Cytech's website it is refereed that you need to install VNC Viewer and then type in the IP Address.
I would like to know if it does support name address instead of IP in order to use a DDNS link.
Thanks.

Bruno
with a DDNS service you need to install software on your PC which is then linked to a fixed URL. The URL willl then be redirected to the dynamic IP of the PC. You would have to run port mapping on the host PC to redirect to the Sidekick, but this we have not tried

Chiu,
Please comment if the following is correct:
- To remotely access the Sidekick its mandatory that the VNC is installed on the remote PC.
- When the VNC is installed you must type in the IP address of the Sidekick
If the remote access works like this and knowing that if we use DDNS we will need to use port forwarding on the router, I need to know specifically if the VNC accepts a name instead of an IP.
Thanks

I see your problem, I think it accepts an IP address only as you are typing in the VNC application and not on the web browser
