I have a Sidekick which I am currently experimenting with. In the default interface, the options to set the security to away and vacation mode are available. However, both of those modes require exit which results in an arm fail if you try to trigger these remotely.
Any way to get these modes to trigger without arm fail? Just wondering why these are in the sidekick interface if they realistically can't be triggered remotely?
Currently my solution would be to use a response instead and trigger that from sidekick to arm to away or vacation without exit required.
Well the Tight VNC Viewer was meant to be used in a local network, which would might suggest that the user may still be within the premises. Moreover, the sidekick also allows the user to control via his TV, which would once again suggest that the user is in the house.
You are right to say that the way to overcome that would be to do without the final door arming methos or using responses.
