I have recently connected the Tel IN and Tel OUT connections of my Comfort system in line with the outside line.

I also have a Meteor CID device which I use in conjunction with the xAPTel application which has worked very well up until now.

It now looks as if I connect the Meteor on the Tel IN side of the connection it does not work properly, If I connect it on the Tel OUT side it seems OK. See below:

Line -- ADSL Filter -- Meteor -- Tel IN Tel OUT -- PBX (Meteor does not work)

Line -- ADSL Filter -- Tel IN Tel OUT -- Meteor -- PBX (Meteor does Work)

NB the Meteor is not strictly 'in-line' it is 'T-ed' accross the line at the point shown.

While the Meteor would capture all incoming calls irespective of position I was hoping to monitor outgoing calls made by Comfort (The Meteor monitors both i/c and o/g calls).

I wonder if there is anything between the Tel IN and Tel OUT connections that might interfere with the device? Has anyone else experienced similar?

TIA

Nigel

Not familiar with Meteor but I cannot see any reason why it would not work on TEL IN. TEL IN is connected to TEL OUT via a normally closed relay so there is nothing between them when comfort is not dialing out or beaing accessed remotely
