Dear Forum
Last week my computer became terminally ill thanks to a nasty Trojan (involving db444.exe) despite have an up to date popular virus protection system running. The outcome was that I had to restore my computer to factory settings and start from scratch. While I was at it I upgraded to windows 8.1 pro from windows 7.
Luckily I stored my comfigurator files on a NAS drive which I haven't lost, so I do have my most recent file which was last saved on 15/11/14. I hadn't updated the comfigurator program for quite a while. I can't be certain but I think I was running version 3.4.4. I had used the voice software long ago to select some additional vocabulary words, but I think they have all been lost now.  I have tried reloading two different versions of comfigurator from the downloads page. When I try to open my saved comfigurator file I get the error message shown in the attached image. The first complaint in the message is that comfigurator can't find kate28_2011.....
If anyone can help me here I would be hugely grateful. I would dearly like to get the system up and working again as iy was before my machine crashed.
Thanks
Guy

Comfigurator reads the vocab.cfg and vocust.cfg files in C:\Program Files\Cytech\Comfigurator 3\Config folder

If any of the referenced files are not found then such an error will pop up

In your case the kate28 file cannot be found in the folder

You can change the cfg files so that there are no missing files

If you have problems send the cclx file and the vocab.cfg and vocust.cfg files to support@cytech.biz

What about downloading the files directly from the EEPROM via comfigurator and saving as a new file

Reading from Comfort will recover the cclx file but will not have the voice file information

Hi
I did follow the above advice and I sent the files through to support@cytech.biz on 9 July and again on 23 July but I haven't had any response about the vocab files, so I remain unable to access my system from my PC. Should I send them through again? Should I be sending them to a different address?
Thanks
Guy

Hi GuySorry I was mistaken we did receive your email on 23 July and it was replied on 24th July, the next day.
I have resent the email. You should receive it by now

Please try this attached file I have replaced Kate_2011 vocab with English residential This will allow you to open the file and check if there are any problems with the word list

The modified cclx file attached in the email will allow you to open the cclx file

Chiu
Thank you so much for your help and patient with this. I have today created a new (gmail) email account and you have sent through the file which I now know you have been trying to send me for a while but which was being blocked by my internet provider so I never knew it had been sent.
With the file installed I have immediately been able to connect to my comfort system again, read the log file and so on. I can already see there are a few words missing from the system but I will look into this in more detail over the coming days and come back to seek your advice on how to fix this later.
Thanks again for your tireless assistance which is warmly appreciated.
Guy
