Please please please can we have a consensus of opinion regarding the naming of basic items. Once this is decided then alter ALL literature to reflect this.
I suggest:-
DOORPHONE - not doorstation or intercom
KEYPAD - not voice station or intercom
HOLIDAY MODE - in the UK we go for a holiday - the Americans go for vacations!
This then leads onto
HOLIDAY PROGRAMS
Comments welcome - please lets try and clear this one up as it really confuses customers

Will "Holidays" lead to confusion with the holidays under the days of week?

Perhaps
Holiday dates and
Holiday programs
The point being lets get a consensus of opinion and act on it - currently the literature, comfigurator and the vioce menu do not tie up! You can make sure that the new voice say the correct things.

Can we have some more feedback on this subject please.
I'm trying to get some consensus of opinion so that all the wording in literature web sites, cards and manuals is the same. In my opinion the suggestions that i posted to start are the most likely wording for UK.
If it turns out to be vacation so be it but make it the same across the board.

I know this may seem trivial BUT i,m going to keep pushing this one ..........
Please lets either call it Holiday (UK) or Vacation (US) not both!!!!
I think it plain to see which gets my vote!

Hi My suggestions
DOORPHONE - not doorstation or intercom. Yes OK by me, it even matches with the product code Door Phone DP03.
KEYPAD - not voice station or intercom, Yes, as above. I agree with this, voice station way never clear to me either, I think keypad works well.
HOLIDAY MODE - in the UK we go for a holiday - the Americans go for vacations!
Here I think Vacation mode is best, as it helps differentiate betweem, the Holiday days in the time programs of the shedule, ie Monday, Tue, .... Sun, Holiday. The "Holday days" are specified in the Holday section of Comfigurator.
The Vacation is the time you are way for your yearly hard everned 2-4 week break. In Australia we can call this a "walk-a-bout" "gone fishing", but we can live with vacation, it is pretty internationally understood.
A holiday day is a day like Easter, Queens Birthday, Halloween for the US people, bank holidays for the UK people. A one day break, often taked onto a weekend to make what we call in Australia a "long weekend".
This then leads onto
VACTION PROGRAMS and VACTION MODE.
Thanks for raising this issue.
regards Ian.

Sorry for my non-reply. I did not get any notification with this topic for some reason
There is actually no inconsistency with the terminology that we have used.
The confusion comes from different words adopted for the old UK vocabulary by Comfort Home Controls, because we allow different vocabularies to be customised by installers.
As Ian says, Vacation Mode is the more appropriate terminology, not Holiday Mode as we need to avoid confusion with Holidays. It may be a holiday today, but you may not be ON holiday or vacation.
Voice Station refers to the function when you talk to someone the keypad
We call the product the Keypad
We refer to the product DP03/DP01 as the Door Station. We have never called it Door Phone. Again this was a term used by Comfort Home controls
These terms and products correspond to the standard vocabulary
