Hi, Just a few Questions regarding RS232 Comms from UCM to Homevision Pro which I am looking to get working.
1)I presume you don't have to be Logged in for the UCM to send out RS232 Data generated from a response?
2) If I use the SR00 Command to turn off Auto Status Reports, will that still allow RS232 Commands to be sent that are generated as part of a response?
3)Once Status Reports are switched off, does a reset re-enable or do you need to login and Send SR01 to re-enable?
:-for context
- What I am trying to do as a first stage is get Comfort to Report to Homevision via Serial when a Security Mode Changes.
Many Thanks

I assume you are using UCM/232 ie UCM06 + RS232 submodule
You do need to be logged in before you can send or receive any messages
2) If I use the SR00 Command to turn off Auto Status Reports, will that still allow RS232 Commands to be sent that are generated as part of a response?
auto status report affect messages from Comfort. You can send messages and get replies but any messages that are generated by Comfort are blocked
3)Once Status Reports are switched off, does a reset re-enable or do you need to login and Send SR01 to re-enable?
Reset will re-enable status repports

Thanks for the Reply
Just to clarify:
Is the answer to Question 2 'Yes' - ie Status reports Off does not stop RS232 generated as part of a response?
Many Thanks

It does not stop send rs232 message action
In principle only broadcasts from Comfort are affected
