The new 2006 "Cat" Comfort 4 page brochure is now available. This is updated to include the new products, keypads, touchscreens etc.

The cover shows a cat having a good time (no, just sleeping) in line with the theme "Experience True Comfort"
Other covers considered included a dog (considered culturally inappropriate to some), baby (too cute), Family (stereotype). and others

Low res jpeg images are shown here. A higher resolution pdf file can be downloaded from http://www.cytech.biz/brochures.html (Comfort A4 Brochure 2006)

The Harmony Remote acts to send IR codes to Comfort to trigger responses.

OK yes ........

But does that mean Harmony recognises Cytech IR codes or do they have to be learnt. Its some time since I 'programed a harmony but from memory it's done on line and I certainly dont recall a home control menu being available either from the default or by bespoke programming!

There is indeed a Home Control (or was it home automation) field for the Harmony Remote Control. We are in the process of trying to get Cytech IR codes included into their database. This would make the process of learning the IR codes easier by downloading them from the online database, rather than learning each individual codes.

I think that Logitech have done an amazing job with their on-line database unfortunately Its back to the AV industry and its inability to even be able to agree how to switch something on and off.. Its either on or off ... no chance if you have a toggle (there is no feedback so you dont actually know wether its on or off).

So unfortunately the Harmonies that we have installed in the past have suffered from the occasional "out of sync". Anyway enough of that.

Let me know when Cytech is on the Logitech database and I will set the one up i have in stock.

Thanks

I thought this was done a while back (codes on website) and a tech note written?

FYI - Logitech provide a pro / dealer capability which allows an installer to manage multiple remotes, typically for different clients.

I've mentioned to Chiu investigating reselling. The lowend 525 / 555 would provide a RoHs compliant replacement for RC01 and they go up to a new touch pad launched recently.
