Comfort can be interfaced to the Dynalite lighting system (http://www.dynalite.com.au) using a UCM/485. This allows Comfort to control Logical Addresses on the DyNet. Comfort acts as a controller for the Dynalite system, providing for the following benefits:
  • telecontrol through any telephone inside or outside the premises to control devices on Dynalite’s DyNet
  • allows control from Comfort’s keypads
  • allows control by Comfort’s Time Programs
  • allows Comfort’s Webserver Module (CWM) to provide Internet access to control Dynalite devices
  • allows alarm inputs and alarm conditions to be linked to Dynalite for true integration of alarm and lighting
  • functions as a central controller for Dynalite DyNet network. Dynalite is a distributed control system with each device having its own intelligence and able to responds according to its own device type and the way it is programmed. In an intelligent home or office environment, it may be desirable to have a controller that coordinates the functions of the various subsystems including security, lighting, HVAC, and others. Comfort is able to take conditional logic; for example, when the time is between 7pm and 7am, and the security system is armed, when the front door is opened, the hall lights may be switched on for a period of 3 minutes. This would not be possible purely from a Dynalite system alone.
The UCM/485 connects Comfort to Dynalite's Dynet RS485 bus. The commands to set scenes in Dynalite can be configured using Comfigurator when one of the UCMs is selected as a Dynalite UCM (in Names > UCMs)
The UCM/Dynalite  Manual can be downloaded from http://www.cytech-technology.biz/manuals.html

The UCM provides a one way interface, ie can send cmmands to Dynalite only, and is not able to receive status.
If two way interface is required, the DNG232 should be used (see http://www.comfortforums.com/forum39/168.html)
