Hi

I have a ultra 2 panel with a UCM 485 controlling Dynalite. Whenever I am testing the interface is fine but once i have left something is happening which stops it from working. The only way to get Comfort controlling dynalite again is to Download the Config File.

Most of the responses are linked to a LSM and this is what i have been using to test (by winding the pot to full). The main function is triggering the outside lights from the outdoor PIR's.

We have another job with the exact same setup and there are No issues their.

Any suggestions?

You will have to investigate whaty exactly stopped working

Is Comfort still working as normal, are you able to sign in and hear the voice etc

Is the UCM still working, are the D9 and D10 comms leds blinking fast?
What is the state of the ERR, Busy1, Busy2, RDT leds?

Use the Comfort Bus Monitor which can be downloaded from http://www.cytech-technology.com/temp/software/Comfort%20Bus%20Monitor.zip
This is a trool for monitoring communications on the Comfort Rs485 bus which can be a great help in identifying certain problems

I have had a play with it today as it has stopped working over night.

Comfort is working fine and the lights on the UCM 485 board are as follows. D9, D10 flashing rapidly. RDY is on and all other lights are off.

If I execute the response from Comfigurator it works fine and the LSM module appeared to be working fine last night (it was triggering the response when the pot was turned right up).

Most of the responses are as follows

If Flag Flag01 = 0 Then
If Input LSM <> 0 Then
        Dynalite LinearPreset 2 32 0 0 255
Do BackDoorLsOff [Back Door Light Off] After 180 Seconds Using Timer04
    End If
End If

Back door light is -Dynalite LinearPreset 2 32 5 0 255

There is also a linear preset message that is assigned to the LSM on and off responses.

We have a Ethernet UCM not a serial so is there any other way of using the Bus Monitor?

Thanks, Mark

The Comfort Bus Monitor  only works from the serial port at the moment

if you can trigger the Dynalite command from Comfigurator it means that the UCM must be working correctly. The D11 or D12 (the one that is red) led flashes when there is a mesage sent to Dynalite

So when the LSM triggers, there is no command to Dynalite?

Another way of monitoring is to use Hyperterminal and log in wit the correct IP address and Port number

Also you can use Wizcomfort in monitor mode with the IP address and port

You need to see the LSM Input being activated eg Message IPnn where nn is the input number in hexadecimal
