I have had a UCM Ethernet Module installed and connected to my network. I can connect to the module using Cytech Device Manager and get all the information returned for the ethernet module and have changed the IP address.

But when I try to upload a configuration file across my network by using Comfigurator v2.1.2, I get a error message after I enter the login password "No response from the UCM".

the configuration of UCM Ethernet is correct:
Location 1672 is set for 1
all dip switches have been checked and are in the correct positions
RS485 comms from Ethernet to main panel indicator lights are flashing correctly

There is also an error message on the keypad display stating:
"Wrong Text Press *1 to SYNC"

We have not been able fix these issues.

Looking forward to your response.

The keypad message means that there is a mismatch between the Keypad LCD text and the text in Comfort. It means you can correct it by pressing first the * key with the '1' key
The text will be downloaded from Comfort

i do believe that the  connection type is setup correcty and verified on several occasiions  so this is not the problem.

Also regarding the text do we have to press the star key and hold this down then press the one key so that they are both pressed down at the same time?

thanks

You can press them together to start the download. You can also press and hold * before pressing 1.;)

When you say all dip settings are set correctly, I gather you mean that SW7 and SW8 are both set correctly? Is SW8-F shorted and SW8-G and SW8-H opened?
If there has been done and you are unable to communicate via Comfigurator, could you post a screenshot of the settings window here so that we can we see what is the cause of the problem? Perhaps you would try to initialise (using the DS Manager) and see if that solves the problem.

Hi gxsecurity,

What about the Comfort control panel itself?
