I read the above post about honeywell smartfit already, so really looking for a bit of advice. If i am integrating 12 zones of heating into a system that uses comfort and integrates with c-bus lighting control then:

1. am I better to let c-bus (12 channel relay) control the zones rather than the outputs on the comfort

2. (same for curtain/blind controllers)

3. Is smartfit the best panel to use? what cable and fitting is used at the heating panel

4. Do I have to use the smartfit in every room I want to control the heating or is it a thermostat

5. I am using touch panels in two of the rooms but in the other rooms how do I get away from having a clipsal light switch, a hideous plastic keypad, a smartfit panel etc all in a row? seeing as the point of the install is integration????

thanks

Jamie

>>> Probably, yes - mains control of motorised valves. Part P Electrician required?

2. (same for curtain/blind controllers)

>>> in this case low voltage relay (RLY01) across blind contact e.g. Silent Gliss. I've heard 'actuators' mentioned by blind co and think these are just a relay variant (Anyone know more please?). I'm trying to work with Somfy for CEDIA next month so will find out more.

RLY01 has 4 circuits so use another 2 on Garage + 1 on Front Gate?

3. Is smartfit the best panel to use? what cable and fitting is used at the heating panel

>>> Not for multi-zone

4. Do I have to use the smartfit in every room I want to control the heating or is it a thermostat

>>> Probably just a KT01, should do the job. I will test at my place asap (2-3 weeks) with Clipsal relay.

Also you can contact installer (User ID: Home) on the forum via private message. They should be able to supply a preconfigured EIB to Comfort solution ('Unity') including Comfort Responses etc. I've asked them to upgrade their documentation and offer this more formally. I think it will be on show at CEDIA. Try and come down.

Nigel
