Could you have changed the port as well? The "configure" button on CWM setup only supports port 80. If you have changed the port then you would have to manually key in the port as well.

That is indeed strange. What version is your CWM? If it is version 5.70, you try sending a reset to the CWM, as described in the CWM manual under the "Troubleshooting" section, and under "CWM Files have been Corrupted". Try triggering the response and see whether reverting to the default configuration helps.

I'm trying to bring CWM01 to Default Factory setings but something is still rong because nothing is hapening.

I'm using this string in the response:

Send RS232 2 52,45,53,45,54,50,57,44

CWM01 has ID=2
UCM/RS232 has ID=1

I would like to know to UCM ID should the string include, the CWM or the RS232?

Is the above response string correct?

Tks

You would have to send to the ID of the CWM not the RS232.

Btw just noticed that you are only trying to reset the password and not to reset the CWM to the default configuration. Is that what you are trying to achieve? If not, you should be using this response:

    Send RS232 2 52,45,53,45,54,43,4F,4E,46

Right....Thanks for the help!

Another question, I'm trying to access CWM remotely to update the index file.

I'm connecting via FireFTP of Firefox web browser. When I log on to CWM it gets connected but the contents never appear.

I'm using a LinkSys Router to forward from the external IP to the Lan IP, I have the port 21 for FTP configured to the CWM Lan IP.

Should I configure any other ports to the CWM IP address?

What should I look for?

Could it be a case of forgetting to enable the Engineer Sign-in Option?

Looking at router side, what ports should I have forwarded to CWM?

We just tried it out with FireFTP which appears to work well remotely and locally. Could it be some firewall or some settings on the remote router that is blocking the access?

Please advise on what ports should be configured on the Forward Router table to the CWM IP address.

Tks

You should have ports 20-21 opened, but I do not suppose its the router that is connected to the CWM that is causing the problem, but rather the settings on the router of the remote PC. Some routers do have a firewall which may block ftp.

Found the problem... The FireFTP was configured as 'Passive Mode'. As I unchecked this option the content of CWM appeared...

Tks for the help!

Why does CWM opens several windows? Isn't it possible to have it opening in a single browser? The idea would be to have a main window where we could see the house and then selecting room (for example), CWM would change the picture on the browser!

I think it has to do with certain limitations of the process
Also if it has to upload the background image each time you want to go back to the image, it would be rather slow.

I can connect to my control panel by using RS232 but i can not get an IP address from Web Server module with ethernet. On the CWM setup screen there will be not an IP. What could be the problem, why cant I see the Web Server Module?
