I found this comment in a 2009 post:
"Comfort Home Controls is no longer a distributor and is not associated with Cytech is any way"
but today Comfort Home Controls have a website (http://www.home-control.co.uk) and is selling Comfort parts but doesn't appear in your list of distributors. What is the situation?

The company "Comfort Home Controls" is definately not a distributor for Comfort products and has not been for a long time. Cytech does not supply them with any products
I do not know if their website has not been changed or if they still have old stock.
If you search through the forum you may find complaints by customers about poor response and service, unanswered phone calls and emails etc

I'm afraid your advice comes too late! I had dealt with them in the past, admittedly some years ago, without any problems, so saw no reason at the time not to use them again. I subsequently saw the 2009 post.
I ordered a UCM/ETH02 and a MPU01/ULT. The UCM has been delivered but the MPU01 was out of stock, delivery end Feb so I have cancelled that.
As far as I can tell the UCM is latest UCM06 - the base is PC01-066A with UCM6.XXX and the ETH part PC01-090A.
It is a little worrying that they are trading and claiming to be "UK-Based Suppliers of Comfort, CBUS, Security and other Home Control Products" if they have no link with Cytech. Presumably the products come from another distributor. The UCM has 2 barcodes: P049671 and C034478 and the ETH P049677.

Anyone can set up a website to sell products if they can buy from distributors
We do not have any objection to others selling Comfort as secondary resellers, however in this particular case we have complaints that the reseller does not respond to phone calls or emails, and have sold old Comfort I stock.
For customers it is best to buy from official distributors
These are listed in the Cytech website under Where to Buy - select UK
Distributors are listed as such in the list

Hi - this is my first post, so apologies for hijacking this thread...
I've an old Comfort 1 system - it's been working for over 12 years with out any issues - it was purchased from home-contols / Iscam in Chester.
Obviously, I looked at their site today, looking for parts - but it mentioned a 2007 catalogue, and there was a part (KP06) I had a query about - so therefore I decided to call them... all lines appear dead, companies house show Iscam changing names in 2007/8 and then going into Administration?
So... I've then called up a number of Cytech distributors as listed in another post - only to find that they to are winding down on stocking Comfort - so could someone please clarify who the "official" UK distributor is.
The extensions I'm after for the system at the momemnt are only sensors - so it's not really an issue - I'm a bit worried that if I can't maintain / upgrade my Comfort system I'll have future issues - which would be a shame as it's a flexible system that's worked well for me.
I'm well overdue a system refurb, which will happen when I pull it to bits to move it to its new location - I'd like to know where to get my bit's first though!
Regards,
RicTS.

Hi Adrian,
Thanks for the info - I used Laser a while back to purchase some X10 modules - they also stock the item I had a query on which is the KP06 without a frame - not too sure who sells the frames for them.
Regards,
RicTS.
