Perhaps the zip file was corrupted during upload
I have re-uploaded the zip file after extracting and testing with VoicePlay. Please try again http://www.cytech-technology.com/temp/software/kate.zip

The extract still does not seem to work either with the embedded XP extract or with WinRAR. :(

Not sure if there is a problem with the forum but recently I have had problems up loading files too.

Is this version of Kate different to the previous one or does it just include the voice play files?

I used winzip, perhaps you can try with this there may be some incompatibilty?
It includes the wav and dat files you need to hear the voice with Voiceplay
You can also try out VoiceProc with the files, so that in future youcan create your own vocabulary or add words to the vocabulary
We  have many other words in the wav directory which are not used in the residential vocabullary

I click on the link and save directly to the desktop under XP Pro. Double clicking on the file allows me to navigate the files and fiolders contained within the ZIP. However the "extract all files" task comes up with the error message "file skipped unknown compression method".

Using WinRAR I get the following error against each file... "Unknown method in ivs\Kate\lcdkp_V26.cfg" etc.

Also get the same problems on another PC!

All these method have worked before so I think we have problem Huston :P

However downloading WinZip V11.1 it appears to work! May I suggest that incompatibilty is found and that WinZip is adjusted or not used. Most people will not want to use winzip when it is already there in XP.

Time to play

There has been no change to kate26. The file was uploaded again due to some problems with the server
