Do a system reset by pressing the reset button or in Transfer > Reset. This should clear the flashing message led.

What is your firmware version?
When you listen to a new message the message led goes off when there are no more messages
Can you tell me the exact sequence of events?
Is this a new problem with an old Comfort I that you are just experienceing, ie was it working properly before? Can you tell me what may have changed?

hi firmware is outside 4200811
the message light is reset after engineer reset,
when a message is left it flashes correctly
when messages are deleted it will not turn off the flashing message light
an engineer reset will fix this until a message is again left.
According to the user this has only just started to happen, the only thing that has occoured is a doorphone interface and fermax panel has replaced a standard comfort door phone.
Thanks

Warby
We sent you the 5.121 firmware to fix the problem with the message LED not turning on when a new message was recorded. This is a problem which was discovered and fixed in 5.106, caused by a "dial tone" from BT after the caller hangs up. See http://www.comfortforums.com/view_topic.php?id=768&forum_id=36&highlight=message
Can you confirm that you do not have this problem anymore with the new firmware
Can you describe exactly what problem you are having now
If you have messages and you reset Comfort, the message LED does not come on again. There is no fix for this. This should not be a big inconvenience as Resetting Comfort is only done when reprogramming
regards

I can confirm that the LED is now coming on when a message is left but has gone full circle and now won't go out.
After installing the new firmware I rang from outside and left a message. This turned on the MSG LED and pressing # said there was a message for user 1.
Signed in as user 1 and deleted the message. the MSG led stayed on and the screen says new message. pressing # states that there are no new messages.
I have deleted all messages and it is still doing this on all keypads.
I am sure a reset will clear it but that is no help.
Cheers

Warby,
I used the same firmware-week 5.121 and comfigurator v2.2.3 to try duplicating the problem you're having but I can't get it. I left the message using both keypad and phone; the msg led turned on. Press # key and it said there was a message for user number 1. Signed in to hear the message; at the end of the message the msg led on keypad automatically turned off. I didn't even have to delete the saved messages. As long as the recorded messages had been heard, the msg led on keypad would just turn off.

Warby, can you describe exactly step by step how you recorded and deleted the messages so that we can try to duplicate? eg what the menu was announcing, what button you pressed etc, thanks

I have just left a few messages and worked out what is causing it.
If I leave a message then delete it (3) too early it clears the message but not the LED. The threshold is sometime during the time and date.
It is working fine if the message is left to play or deleted during the actually message.
Sorry for the wild goose chase.
Cheers, Mark

When you said you delete the message too early, are you referring to deleting the saved messages in User Menu by pressing 2 for Messages followed by 3 for Erase Saved Messages? If that is the case you have only deleted messages that have been played and then saved automatically; you aren't deleting the new messages hence the msg led will still ON indicating new messages.
Threshold is sometime during the time and date?
What do you mean by above?

It happened when you first sign in and it automatically plays the essage.
Basically I left a message but deleted it early because i don't like the sound of my voice. So there was one message and I deleted it as it was saying when the message was left.(time and date)
If you do this tooearly comfort doesn't register that it has been played even though it is now deleted. Nxt time a message is left the LED will sort itself out beacause it will turn off once all the messages have been played.

I've tested with two different boards and two different keypads, none of them give me the problem you're experiencing. I recorded a message, msg led turned on, signed-in and between the announcement of date and time deleted it and the msg led would turn off as well every single time. I've tried 30 over times and can't duplicate what you're getting.
