I've had my Comfort Ultra II system (plus GSM4-3G UCM) installed for a few months now and all is generally fine. We have quite regular power cuts in our area and I've noticed that the "Power Fail Main" SMS text message never seems to arrive until some time later, often when the 'Restore' happened as the power cuts are usually short. I finally did some experimenting today and concluded that it was because my 'Voice' phone was first in the list and the SMS one was 2nd so it presumably didn't send the SMS until after the phone had been answered and acknowledged. So, I've re-ordered the numbers.
Anyway... back to the query, my Comfort and SEP are in different areas and when I was testing later on I decided to cut the power to the SEP as it was closer by. I waited some time but was surprised to hear no Trouble beeps from the system and get no dial-outs or SMS and nothing on the keypads. Is that normal? It now works as expected (Trouble beeps, SMS and voice dial-out) if I just cut power to the main Comfort panel.Last edited on Monday Sep 18th, 2017 01:53 am by caravanboy
