We have a system that has stopped answering incoming calls. It is a G1 system. The number of rings is all set nicely (8,3,6,3).
The problem is that the system will not answer an incoming call, It dials out correctly but when there is an incoming call it just rings and rings....
and rings,

                                                                                      and rings.

We have a test system on the bench and we cannot replicate this problem, Any Ideas?

If it is a comfort 1,more than 15 years old, and it used to work, it is probably a hardware fault caused by some lightning strike

Do you think this fault would be on the PCB or in the U1 or U4 ICs?

I expect in the PCB Telephone side. You could try reversing the telephone wires in TEL IN.
