Our home phone has been converted to VOIP as the NBN has taken over. The phone can still sign in to Comfort and all menu options are available. However, the Door station does not now ring the home phone to allow discussion and then the 4 and 7 opening of gate and front door. Also, now a call to the home number goes directly to Comfort and gets the voice message "Please Sign In". (The Answering machine should be answering it, the answering machine is not in bypass mode and the number of rings is set to 2). The answering machine was working correctly for many months after the introduction of the VOIP. Comfort can dial out on the VOIP line with no issues.
(We don't use the home phone for personal calls, that need has been replaced by mobile phones.) Is this change caused by VOIP or is there some settings that can be changed?

You mean the home phone can sign in to Comfort when you press * and code and # key?
If the door station cannot ring the home phone, your Ringer module may eb faulty. even if the phone does not ring when you press the doorbell, can you lift the receiver press 1 to talk to the door station?
when you call in, and you dont hear the comfort receorded Greeting message. The message may have been deleted so you get " Please sign in" instead. Check the recorded Greeting message..
VOIP should not cause the problem unless the connection is not correct

Yes, phone can sign in to comfort on press * code #. On door bell press the phone does not ring, but pressing 1 enables two way talk with the gate (speech is quite faint?). The answering machine message was present, but I changed the number of rings on the answering machine from one to two and now the answering machine answers an incoming call. So mostly good, is there anything to check about the non ringing of the phone? Can I adjust the volume of the voice from the gate?

If the pressing of the doorbelll does not ringthe phone, the ringer module should be faulty. Unfortunately the ringers for the old CM9001 are no longer produced.
For volume of each side of the door station please check http://www.comfortforums.com/forum68/
