Hi
I installed a number of TWS02s today. 3 are working fine, but there are problems with others.
1. One 2 circuits, when the light is switched on at the wall or via the control menu, the relays continuously flash on and off. I've checked the settings, they are not set to flash. I've checked the wiring and it seems fine. Is there a reason why 2 relays might flash on and off very very quickly?
2. On one circuit, if you turn the light on at the wall or via the control menu, it comes on and then the relay clicks again and it switches off automatically immediately. Any ideas why this may be?

How have you connected the TWS, is it with Two way switches according to the TWS manual?
Did you program the Input zone as feedback accordingly?
Exchange the TWS with the site that is behaving as expected to see if there is any difference with the 2
If you still have problems send your cclx file to support@cytech.biz

Thanks.
We swapped the TWS for another and same problem occurs so it is not a faulty unit. When it flashes on and off on it's own, the flashing is three times quicker than the flash comfort does when an output is set to flash.
It only does this problem when both lighting circuits are connected to the same TWS so I think my electrician may have wired the normal 2 way light switch at the other end incorrectly (both circuits are also wired back to the same normal light switch, with a separate gang for each circuit. He may have crossed some wires over or something).
I've triple checked comfigurator and the RIO outputs are not set to flash, just the response as outlined in the TWS manual, so I really don't think it's programming that's the issue.
I'll ask him to rewire but does the above sound like it's a 230v wiring issue not a programming or 12v wiring issue?
One final thing - what's the reason that Comfort 2 is limited to 8 keypads, 15 Rio/scs, 64 zones etc - any plans to extend? I need more!!

It looks like a wiring issue

That seemed to be more than enough for a large house, not that we do not like to sell more modules
what exactly do you need more of? Are you running out of inputs, outputs or keypads?

Running out of all really!
Especially zone inputs and rio inputs. have plenty of outputs.
I have used all 64 zones, I will need 12 Rios and have 3 Scs but would like to have more SCS and inputs
Already have 8 keypads, ideally would have more
It's an 8 bed / 23 room house......plus PIRs in garden, access control etc

What about adding another Comfort or better still Logic Engine to handle your additional things

Sounds great, but can it all be connected together so the existing system and the logic engine can all be controlled via the keypads etc? It would be a nightmare to have 2 separate systems that did not talk to each other.....

Some connectivity function is in the works but we have not decided the extent of this yet. If a UCM can connect to other 3rd party systems, why should it not connect to another Comfort?

I'm sorry, I didn't quite understand what you mean.
Will it work fully with my current comfort system or do I need to wait until you have finished doing the work?

I think you can use the Universal UCM with RS232 interface to control another Comfort with UCM/232
Consider the 2nd comfort or logic engine as a different system
The 1st comfort can send commands to the 2nd one via the Universal UCM
You need 2 UCMs to join them together

You may not realise Comfort can now support 96 zones, instead of 64
You need the latest Comfort firmware and SEM firmware must be upgraded to 6.007 at least. Hence you can add 2 more slaves to a 64 zone system

Brilliant news!!
Can I add a LEM to the 2 extra slaves?
I have 96 zones in comfigurator, so it suggests I can.

Yes, you add 2 more slaves and Lems to go from 64 to 96 zones

Thanks. That solves the inputs and outputs issue.
I just need to solve the keypads problem as I already have 8. . What would happen if I gave 2 keypads the same address. Would they both work?

That is a big no-no
Keypads with the same ID will both not communicate
We will see if it is possible to expand the number of keypads

Hi there.
I have 8 normal keypads and have bought a KT03 as I need 9. I thought this could be added as a UCM so I can have a 9th Keypad.
Have I misunderstood that the touch screen keypads can be UCMs instead of being a keypad.
I desperately need to have the 9th keypad working.

The KT03 has a keypad ID. It was the old KT01 which was a UCM but that is no longer in production
Technically there is no problem to have more than 8 keypads, but we have not had anyone who needed this before
Hold on to your keypads, we shall discuss if it can be increased

Thank you. It would be brilliant if you could. I also think it would open up the commercial market for Comfort. I used to work in supermarkets and large stores always had about 15 keypads, ie one at every fire exit and entrance.

Hi - is there any update on whether comfort can have more than 8 keypads - I need at least 12 ideally! (Large house)
