Hello and first of all, scuse me for my bad english.

Sometimes, i get an "Arm failure" alarm and i can not understand where the problem can be.
In the 'log', i can only read "Arm failure", but it is not helpfully.
Can someone suggest me how i can have more details?

Thank you.

Ema from Italy

Have you upgraded to the latest Comfort firmware?

The latest firmware will tell you which zone was last triggered in arm failure in the event log

Let us have the event log so we can check

I too have intermittent arm failures and have no idea why?
I use the F and 'away' key on the keypad to set but when I get the arm fails I hear "please exit, please exit" when outside the house instead of the normal "hall movement, front door, away mode"
Looking at the event log, it doesn't show the normal "Sign in - User # Keypad" 1st event is armfail. I have shown an example below of working normally then shown in bold the arm fail.
Please can you help?

example log
  • 04/05 09:51 Sign in - User # Keypad
  • 04/05 09:51 Mode Change # Away Mode
  • 04/05 11:07 Zone Activation # FrontDoor (1)
  • 04/05 11:07 Alarm Type # EntryAlert (10)
  • 04/05 11:07 Sign in - User # 1
  • 04/05 11:07 Sign in - User # 1
  • 04/05 11:07 Mode Change # Security Off
  • 04/07 13:18 Sign in - User # Keypad
  • 04/07 13:18 Mode Change # Away Mode
  • 04/07 15:45 Zone Activation # FrontDoor (1)
  • 04/07 15:45 Alarm Type # EntryAlert (10)
  • 04/07 15:45 Sign in - User # 2
  • 04/07 15:45 Sign in - User # 2
  • 04/07 15:45 Mode Change # Security Off
  • 04/07 18:51 Sign in - User # 1
  • 04/08 10:27 Alarm Type # ArmFail (4)
  • 04/08 10:27 Sign in - User # 2
  • 04/08 10:28 Alarm Type # AlarmAbort (20)
  • 04/08 10:28 Sign in - User # 2
  • 04/08 10:28 Mode Change # Security Off
  • 04/08 10:28 Sign in - User # Keypad
  • 04/08 10:28 Mode Change # Away Mode
  • 04/08 13:09 Zone Activation # FrontDoor (1)
  • 04/08 13:09 Alarm Type # EntryAlert (10)
  • 04/08 13:09 Sign in - User # 2
  • 04/08 13:09 Sign in - User # 2
  • 04/08 13:09 Mode Change # Security Off
  • 04/08 16:14 Sign in - User # Keypad
  • 04/08 16:14 Mode Change # Away Mode
  • 04/08 16:39 Zone Activation # FrontDoor (1)

Hearing "Please exit " when you are outside the house means that the system has not detected the front door opening on your way out. Hence it times out and gives Arm Fail

The event log for arm fail should show the last zone triggered during the sequence. As it shows nothing that means that no zones were triggered

You may have a faulty or intermittent door contact magnet

Next time you arm, open the dooor and listen for the announcement "front door"

If you do not hear this, it means the zone is not detected

Also possible cable cut or not connected at panel securely......

Many thanks for the replies, I realise this should have been posted under arm/disarm section!

I am still having these intermittent arm failures with "please exit" announced when outside. The final exit door "front door" is being announced although the speech is often way behind still announcing exit route detectors kitchen, Study when outside - if the speech hasn't announced front door as it is still announcing exit zones - could this prevent comfort from seeing that the door has been opened/closed?

I also have front door and all the other external doors set to "announced zone" even when security is off so I know when someone has entered the house but doubt this is connected.

The zones queue to be be announced so there may be a delay in announcing the later zones if there are a lot of zones activated during exit.
Once the entry door is closed, it should stop saying "please exit" and the voice should stop announcing
If you still hear please exit repeatedly after you have closed the door it means the system has not detected that the front door has closed and is still waiting for the door to close
Another way that arm failure can occur is that after the door has been detected closed, it waits for 6 seconds. At the end of 6 seconds if any zone is active in the house, it will cause arm failure. In this case the zone causing arm failure will be recorded in the event log
