Greeting,

a few days ago we could not download the Comfigurator SW to the
main board via the UCM/ETH02 board. The connection parameters
were set correctly, but a error message appeared after pressing the
„Transfer – Write (PC -> Comfort)“ button in Comfigurator. The error
message is in the attachment (Cytech - UCM Connection Failure.jpg).

We also tried connecting the patch cable directly between the PC
and the UCM/ETH02 board to eliminate any network interference,
but that did not help. Also, restarting the device did not help
either.

We tried pinging the UCM/ETH02 board and it works fine.

The firmware version of the UCM/ETH02 board is 6.008.

What could be the cause for this?

We also experienced a strange behaviour of the main board. For
some reason, the keypad stopped making announcements (the
keypad voice level was set high enough).
After we restarted the main board, the announcements started
working again.

What could be the cause for the announcement issue?

Thank you for your help!

Do you have a 'link' light? (red led next to the RJ-45 socket). Suspect you do if you can ping it...

In Comfigurator, is the IP address the SW is trying to talk to set correctly?

Also try running Tibbo Manager and check that the PC can see the IP address of the Comfort ETH2

Yes, the "link light" (red light) was On.
The IP address in Comfigurator is set correctly.
Tibbo can not find the UCM.

You might want to try and 'default' the ETH2 card. Remove power from the UCM/ETH2 and re-apply whilst holding down SW101 for at least 7secs (next to the RJ-45 socket).

Run Tibbo manager and see if you can see anything - if you can, upload new firmware to the Eth2 card (via Tibbo)

If this doesn't work then there is likely to be another underlying issue.
