I have a Comfort II ultra with a UCM2 CBus board. It has run faultlesly for a few years then last night it failed to arm and showed 'UCM2 communications failure' on the keyboard.Interrogating it with Comfigurator showed UCM2 grayed out and could not be polled.I removed the mains supply and battery for 10 secs and then reinstated them. This brought the UCM back to visibility on Comfigurator, and cleared the fault showing on the keypad.
UCM01 is version 7.076, and UCM02 is 7.045Any ideas what to check?

I cm not able to tell what caused the fault on ucm2What is this UCM, what type of UCM is it? If a UCM usb or eth, why is it on ID2 instead if 1 UCM lost communications mshould not cause an arm failureCan you read the event log, as that may tell you why the arm failed
Instead if powering down the system next time try a reset of the UCM or Comforot using the reset button

Sorry, I should have been more specific. UCM02 is a CBus UCM. I tried a system reset both from the keyboard through the engineer menu, and also through Comfigurator. Neither attempt fixed the error.
You are quite right, the comms problem did not stop the arming. Here is the log:
09/26 14:42 Sign in - User # System Response
09/26 14:42 Mode Change # Away Mode
09/26 14:42 Comm. failure # UCM 2
09/26 14:42 Dial Number # 1
09/26 14:42 Dial Number # 2
09/26 16:45 Zone Activation # Front_Door (1)
09/26 16:45 Alarm Type # ENTRYALERT (10)

I would upgrade the UCM/Cbus firmware and keep an eye to see if it happens again
