if when running Comfigurator 3.7.x on Windows XP exceptions like the image attached are seen, the problem could be an error in your PCs .NET Framework 2 SP

Uninstall .NET Framework 2 and re-install it again

Also  reinstall the .NET Framework 3.5 SP1 (http://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=22).

do you get this exception with a default template as well?

If it is caused by your cclx file, please send the cclx file to support@cytech.biz

This happened once with my own cclx file. It hasn't repeated so far. I need to see a pattern before I can take it any further. If it continues I will get back to you.

This looks to me is that Comfigurator is trying to update some variables/objects just at the point when it is closing down and disposing of those same said variables/objects.

My money would be on it being an application issue rather than anything in the config file and a timing thing so difficult to reproduce IMHO. It's like you exit from the application in the middle of a module scan or something.

I've started to get errors trying to exit the app with 3760 that I've not had with previous releases, using the same config files as before. I generate a new config for each change.

As the previous versions worked fine with the same config file, this would indicate an app error.

I can only quit by terminating the application through task manager.

As I mentioned elsewhere ( http://comfortforums.com/forum20/3544.html ), I get this error when I exit comfigurator AFTER I have performed an "edit -> undo" on a change I made. The only way to exit then is to start task manager and shut comfigurator down.

Same problems here - can't run 3.7.6 at all. On opening I get the XML error in def34.cctx and if I open one of my own config files I get the same Unhandled exception as above.

This means it's surely a application error rather than a config file error. Could really do with an update to correct this as it's completely unusable at the moment and needs a restart or forced quit just to try to close comfigurator down once the unhanded exception error hits.

This is running on XP in Parallels. Now having to re-download 3.6.8 as it's currently unusable at all.

Is this the same exception as the previous ones shown by gaynorc and palmlodge?
Those exceptions occur when trying to close the program following an Undo

We are not aware of an exception when opening the file, except for the ones caused by errors in the  .NET framework as shown in the 1st 3 posts of this topic

Please send the screenshot of the exception for verification

We are trying to clear up the bugs and exceptions found in 3.7.6 and release a new version, b ut we are still waiting for more information about the exceptions found when opening Comfigurator as we have not experienced it and are not able to duplicate

Those who have this problem please send screenshot and exact sequence to trigger if possible

For those who encounter exceptions with 3.7.6 please upgrade to 3.7.7 beta  and let us know if that fixes your exception problem

So we conclude the the exceptions in 3.7.6 are no longer seen in 3.7.7?

On the error which I reported in 3.7.6, I have tested doing an exit from comfigurator AFTER I have performed an "edit -> undo" on a change I made, and I do not get the exception with 3.7.7.
