Hi

I fitted my UCM/USB board last night, and when I connected up to my laptop (running Windows 2000 Professional, SP4), I was prompted to install drivers for the USB UART device ?

There don\'t appear to be any suitable drivers with my Windows install - so can you tell me where to download suitable drivers from ?

Many thanks
Lee

The drivers for USB are provided but not automatically installed as a user may have the drivers already installed already
When the software asks you for drivers, select the installation folder for Comfigurator3 which is normally C:/Program FilesCytech/Comfigurator 3/USB Drivers

Note that out of date preinstalled USB drivers are the main cause of not being able to communicate with the UCM/USB

Instructions for updating the USB driver are found in http://www.comfortforums.com/view_topic.php?id=2431&forum_id=73

The instructions for installation of the USB drivers under various operating systems can be found below

Windows XP

Vista

Windows 7

If required, the USB Drivers can be found in the USB Drivers folder in the Comfigurator program folder, eg Program FilesCytechComfigurator 3USB Drivers

The new version of the USB Drivers which is compatible with Windows 7 as well as XP and Vista can be downloaded from here

The UCM Manual has also been updated

Problems with the UCM/USB not able to communicate with the PC are normally due to an outdated USB driver which has been installed previously. See forum topic at http://www.comfortforums.com/view_topic.php?id=2431&forum_id=73

Please note that if you have a UCM05 or UCM/232 and connect it to a USB port of your computer, you should select in Comfigurator, Settings > UCM Interface as Serial and NOT USB

Look for the COM port assigned to your serial to USB convertor in Windows Control Panel > System > Hardware < Device Manager

Enter the COM port for the connection

The Comfigurator USB interface is only for the UCM/USB which has a built in USB interface
