- palmlodge - 06-29-2009 If anyone is interested, I\'ve \'twitterfied\' my house. So far the important ones are Alarm updates from Comfort (ie security off (only if it was in away mode), away mode, fire alerts, intruder alerts, etc). Frivilous tweets such as Sonos Zone changes (could do a what\'s playing), CBUS changes (ie outside movement and in comfort away mode), new voicemails on comfort, garage door opened, CBUS current outside temperature, etc. Should if you want to know more. - ident - 06-29-2009 Yes, I wouldnt mind knowing how it works - cgiltrow - 07-04-2009 Hey, That sounds great. I would love to do the same. Please share with us how you have achieved that. Cheers, Clinton. - HenleyBranch - 02-17-2012 I would love to know how this was done. I am looking at ways of getting Alarms as iOS notifications / iMessages. Henley - palmlodge - 02-19-2012 The tweeting part works well enough, but relies on HomeSeer and the pjcComfort plugin. Unfortunately, the pjcComfort plugin is as flakey as a box of cornflakes, and is constantly crashing or causing a problem which renders HomeSeer (in itself, stable) unusable. I\'ve been running HomeSeer as an XP VM for a fe wmonths now in the hope of providing some stability, in that there are NO other apps or updates or anything to get in the way of its operation. Until there is a suitable Comfort HomeSeer plugin, you wouldn\'t want to use it. Its a shame that Cytech can\'t provide their own plugin as it would be invaluable for logging everything that comfort does to a very granular level, which is really what I use it for (when the plugin stays up). - juwi_uk - 02-19-2012 The next ComfortClient release supports plugins so it\'ll be pretty straightforward for somebody to write a small plugin for twitter too. Maybe I\'ll even produce a barebones example to demo myself; that said I\'ve never twittered in my life so maybe going to need some help to get started on what people want! , :0) Julian - bs85 - 02-19-2012 palmlodge wrote: Quote:The tweeting part works well enough, but relies on HomeSeer and the pjcComfort plugin. Have you tried Ver 3.0.0 of pjcComfort been using it for just over a month and has been a lot better. Could do with a .net plugin for homeseer. - HenleyBranch - 02-21-2012 Thanks for the responses; unfortunately we\'re a devoted Apple household. I am running X10 controller Indigo for Mac, and am running Comfigurator on a Parallels VM also on the Mac. Indigo has an excellent iOS app for iPhone and iPad. So both Comfort and Indigo are currently both controlling X10 lights in my set up - currently Comfort for alarm-related triggers and Indigo for day-to-day lighting control / scene settimg from all our iOS devices. I am interested in joining the two up. Indigo can be scripted so I am exploring if there is a way of using X10 (using unused codes on Zone Responses) from Comfort to trigger responses in Indigo which script to the ew messaging app in Mac OS X Lion. Hence getting notifications in iOS. Long way round and reliant on X10, so I am interested in any other suggestions. I should add that the other reason for connecting the Mac is to connect Comfort triggers to the excellent iCam security camera app. Henley |
