When I used to activate Away Mode the strobe would flash a couple of times after final arming.  Now when I activate away mode the siren beeps a couple of times instead of the strobe.  Can you tell me how to change this back via the keypad only.  I dont have comfigurator.  I think it happened when I installed a new firmware chip some time ago.  Thanks.

Dave

What firmware did you upgrade to and what was it upgraded from?

Hi Sorry for the delay.  I had 5.045.  You sent me a free replcement as my system was shipped with the wrong one apparantly.  Is there away of knowing what firmware I have now without taking my cbus interface card off my main board.  I dont have comfigurator.

I noticed in my instructions that it says the strobe and siren will activate on final arming.  I cant remember the siren sounding before.  Is there a way of dissabling the siren on final arming of away mode.

thanks.

To find the firmware version, go to Engineer Menu and press 7,4,3
The menu will announce the firmware eg \"Week 5, 145 ,,, etc\" for Ultra 5.145

If you do not have the UCM then you need to read the Engineer Programming Menu from here
This gives instructions on using the Engineer Menu to do your programming by keypad or phone
Also download  the File System 34 Worksheet
This contains the locations and other info useful for programming by keypad
Table 25 - Siren Type Output settings in the worksheet shows the siren types
Look at Away Armed Siren Type (Siren Type 5). You need to disable the SIREN Output by adding up the values for the various columns. The resulting value without SIREN output and Door station  should be 32. Enter this in Location 108

If you use Comfigurator 3, you just go to Security Types > Siren Types and check the boxes for the outputs you want to enable. It is much simpler
I highly recommend that you invest in a UCM/USB as it is not expensive and will be much more convenient for you

I\'ll try that.  Thanks very much for your help.
