- slychiu - 02-20-2011 The SIM Module refers to the small daughterboard which sits on top of the UCM baseboard. This is where the Cbus wires are connected to the UCM/Cbus. There are 2 versions of the SIM, an older one with a label marked 1223/x, 1151/x etc like shown below ![]() The new version of the SIM does not have a label as the ST7 microprocessor is much smaller ![]() The are differences in the operation of the 2 types of SIM so that the UCM/Cbus firmware used for the two types are not compatible The new ST7 SIM must use UCM/Cbus 5.216 and above, while the older SIM (non-ST7) must use UCM/Cbus 5.208 and lower The two UCM/Cbus firmware versions can be downloaded from https://www.cytech.biz/ucmcbus_firmware.html - ident - 06-10-2011 The new UCM/Cbus firmware 5.235 solves the compatibility problems between the new V3, V4 and the new V5 ST7 SIM modules so the firmware can be used for all SIM versions from V3 onwards |
